Anti Glare Film Overview
Screen Solutions Anti Glare Film is one of those practical products that if used properly can solve a number of unique challenges that are presented anytime glass and acrylic naturally reflective surfaces are used. Glare and glass are synonymous with each other and unfortunately most often people have been living with the problem for years and years and may not know that there is a simple, effective and affordable solution available for solving this inherent problem with reflective surfaces.
Anti Glare film is designed to be applied to the outside or viewing side of your window or glass display, and manufactured with an adhesive layer on one side of the film which enables you to apply to glass and acrylic surfaces much like a vinyl or window tint is applied. Anti Glare film is supplied matte surface on the viewing side and will reduce up to 95% of glare on the outside of the window or reflective surface. There are several different methods and practices for incorporating anti glare film into your displays and storefront windows. Application practices include treating the entire reflective surface with anti glare film or only treating portions of the window where digital displays or focal points are.
Both of these options are individually beneficial for different reasons, if you have a display that is suffering entirely due to reflection we would often recommend that you treat the entire surface. If you have a digital display such as a flat panel TV or a projection film installed on your glass than you may want to treat that area only. When you treat one single area of a reflective surface with Anti Glare film such as where a digital display is you will create a stark contrast between reflection and no reflection. The best way to describe what Anti Glare Film does is to say that it essentially cuts a hole out of the reflection and creates a viewable surface area that appears as if it is missing.
